THE STORY

Richard directed the Life Network critically acclaimed documentary series, "Hounds" which followed the adventures of professional autograph collectors. Budman's next project, "Shera's Story" would see him tell the story of a teenage girl from Toronto who chose to visit the Nazi concentration camps of Poland and the exact sites of where her family perished. Richard's love and appreciation of urban music fueled a need to produce a music related documentary. The Toronto Rap Project finally presented that opportunity.
John is the executive producer and owner of Disc Connected Records (DCR) an independent record label in Toronto. It was John's connections, knowledge and network of underground rappers that Budman drew upon when putting together The Toronto Rap Project.

Joel has worked on many feature films over the last few years. Assistant Director credits include Mean Girls, Dawn of the Dead and 50 cent's recent "Get Rich or Die Tryin'" all shot in and around Toronto. A love of independent storytelling keeps Joel busy with his own film projects. The Toronto Rap Project is Joel's first collaboration with documentary director Richard Budman.

It was during high school that Sammy would put together an old computer with some audio software and begin producing beats. He would later form that Toronto rap group R.O.T.
Since then, Sammy has created hundreds of beats for R.O.T. acting as the groups primary producer. His work on The Toronto Rap Project represents his first film music credit.
